1950 - Founded

Since being founded, the name Valls has been synonymous with excellence and experience in the international trade and transportation industry. What began as a small local Customs brokerage office turned into a U.S. based international services group committed to providing exceptional service to its customers.

Ralph Valls established Ralph Valls Customs Brokers, located in Laredo, Texas. To this day it remains the largest land gateway and port of entry into the U.S.

1952 - License

Valls secured a license to operate as an Export Forwarder at the U.S. - Mexico border.

1960 - New Office

Richard R. Valls accepts an invitation from Ralph Valls to join in the opening of an office at the port of Corpus Christi, Texas. The Customs clearance service was also provided in the same location.

1978 - Valls Shipping Company

Richard R. Valls opens Valls Shipping Company (Vessel Agency) in Corpus Christi, Texas.

1981 - New Handling Company

Port Corpus Terminal, Inc. is formed as a materials handling company. It later expanded and was licensed to become the stevedoring arm of Valls Group.

1987 - Mooring & Marine, Inc.

In 1987 Richard R. Valls and Dan Ostos purchase controlling interest of Coastal Bend Mooring & Marine, Inc., a mooring and barge service in Corpus Christi, Texas.

1996 - Boyd-Campbell Co.

In 1996, Valls shipping company acquired the agency division of the Boyd-Campbell Co., the oldest and largest steamship agency in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Present Day

Over the next 20 years, the Valls Group consolidated into a leading provider of international trade and transportation services specializing in providing full service vessel agency, Customs brokerage and freight forwarding services for liquid and dry bulk, break bulk and project cargoes. Vall's Group offers vessel agency services at 20 deep water ports on the U.S. Gulf Coast, Mississippi River and Florida East Coast as well as Customs clearance service at 50 mainland U.S. ports of entry including Puerto Rico.
